We have Grade 30 and 70 chain assembly available in stock with the sizes: 5/16”, 3/8” and 1/2”. Per NACM, all working load limit for chain product has a safety factor of 4.
When you're shopping for chain products, it is important to under the chain grading. The chain grading is directly related with Working Load Limit, WLL. Higher the Working Load Limit, the stroger the chain. Chain grading starts from grade 30 to grade 120. At Cargo Control Store, we have grade 30, 70 used for transportation industry.
Standard commercial quality of chain grading is usually denoted with Grade 30. Every 3' or less, the link of the chain is stamped with 3 or 30 to indicate the grading of the chain. Grade 70 is usually called transport chain. As the name states, grade 70 chain is usually used in cargo tie down application. The finish is usually gold/yellow chromate finish. Grade 70 chain is made with heat treated steel which has about 25% more strength than G43 high test chains. Once again, grade 70 chain is stamped with G7 or G70 every 1 - 3 feet. It is important to note that no grade 30 or 70 chain should be used for overhead lifiting.
